Greetings and Salutations from the denizens of the Ectolab!
The Ectolab exists (it is rumored) eight dimensions left of melting insideways, just around the corner from the Moebius Motel. Ectofreq is merely one of the many dwellers of the Ectolab, but the only one (so far) to contact this realm with any consistency, unless you count his previous incarnation, Cryptomech, and the one before that, Mechanism (its kind of an extradimensional psychic molting thing...) Most often his sonic mischief is associated with Chicago, but one never can tell from whence it might emanate.
Ectofreq has been DJing, Remixing, and Producing, since 2000. However, his involvement with Electronic Music and Clubculture/Counterculture dates back to 1986, whilst his association with strange phenomena, and inability to "fit in," have origins in early childhood.
Influences include, Thee Spirit Realm, multitudes of electronic Artists through the decades, Psychoactive Substances, and a Love for Dancing, to list a few. Heretofore, various obstacles have prevented Ectofreq from fully realizing his Sonic Vision. Now we're getting somewhere.... Though, it might help if he could pick a genre, or three.
Recent investigations have revealed his werx amidst the constant flux of Electro --- Techno --- Electro-Industrial --- and "Ambidustrial." Ectofreq has coined the term "Ambidustrial" to replace the previous "Industrial Ambient" genre and is waiting on a reply after submitting it to the elusive, yet, supreme Overlords of the Sonic
